S.C. Peer Support Specialist Certification (online) August 21st, 2023 thru August 25th, 2023 (8am-6pm)

Online Training Monday thru Friday 9:00am-6pm August 21st, 2023-August 25th, 2023

The Peer Specialist Certification curriculum is designed to expose participants to a variety of topics to include the following thirteen domains: Recovery Principles, Peer Support Practices, Cultural Competence, Communication, Recovery & Personal Wellness Goals, Whole Health Approach to Services, Managing Crisis and Emergency Situations, Group Facilitation, Advocacy, Use of Recovery Tools, Workplace Skills, and Professional Development. SC SHARE hosts multiple trainings a year throughout the state. Class consists of 40 hours of intensive training (this course will be available by zoom) with 12 hours dedicated to homework and final presentation.

Because this training is 100% digital, there will be 8 hour days for 5 days total.

PROCESS:

After you have registered for the course you will be given seven (7) days to have your application submitted to SC SHARE. If your application is not received within those seven (7) days you will be automatically dropped from the roster and only allowed to reapply after seven (7) days have elapsed.

Once your application has been received, SC SHARE will schedule a telephone or zoom interview with you and reach out to references as needed.

Upon successful completion of the interview and reference check you will be provided 48 hours to pay the $250.00 registration fee. Failure to do so will result in an automatic drop from the training and reapplication will not be granted for this training period. You will have to wait and reapply to a future training date.
