About the event
The Integrated Forensic Peer Support (IFPRS) Certification is a three-day training, designed and designated specifically for currently Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS) and/or Certified Peers Recovery Specialists (CPRSS). The training focuses on 4 different domains (recovery and wellness, advocacy, mentoring and education, and ethical responsibility). This credential is supplemental to a Peer Recovery Specialist's certification and can be offered to individuals, through a state system as an endorsement, or as a re-certification training to further equip Peer Supports with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to support individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders while helping peers as they navigate the cross-section of the behavioral health and criminal justice settings - before, during, and after their period of justice involvement.
The fee for this course is $175, and upon completion, participants will be certified as Integrated Forensic Peer Support (IFPRS) Specialists through the partnership of SC SHARE with SAFE Project.
